Encinacorba

It is 10 kilometres from Cariñena following the CV-669 road.

The village belonged to the Knights Templar Order until it was passed to the Order of San Juan in 1317.

The area produces wines with the Cariñena guarantee of quality and origin.

The village has characteristic Aragonese Renaissance style buildings with three floors, a semicircular arched doorway, first floor balconies and arcades with semicircular arches and wooden eaves on the top floor.

The parish church of Santa María is a Gothic-Renaissance style construction dating from the 16th century. It was built on the site of an ancient castle. The square shaped tower dates from the 16th century and was built over the castle tower. The choir has a 17th century Baroque iron railing and a medieval organ. There is also a collection of polychrome wooden sculptures, a Romanesque image of Christ on the cross, a 13th century Gothic figure of Nuestra Señora del Mar on the Mass altarpiece (made of polychrome alabaster) and a Plateresque style altarpiece featuring la Virgen del Rosario.

The hermitage of Santa Quiteria. There is an application for it to be listed as a National Monument. It was built in the 16th century and the nave is covered by a wooden ceiling with 16th century carvings in late Gothic style.

A 16th century fountain built in ashlar masonry with a stone wall and a niche.

Festivities: There is a pilgrimage to the hermitage of Santa Cruz on the first Sunday in May. Festivities in honour of la Virgen del Mar (the figure was brought to the village by the Knights of the Order of San Juan) take place from 6th to 8th August and include a traditional "dance".
